Welcome into My Home!

Amber Hayden here & I wanted to wish ya’ll & your families a Warm & Happy Holiday Season.

Tradition & home are so important to me, so I thought I’d invite you into my kitchen and share a very special family recipe that you can use & enjoy throughout the holidays now and for generations to come.

For ingredients… You’ll want to make sure you have 5 cups of self rising flour in house, vitamin D milk (that’s the red cap, friends..) baking oil & real, unsalted butter. If you still grease your pans with bacon grease, then ya’ll don’t need Me to tell you where to find that in your home and I’m sure you have a mason jar full in your pantry alway on the ready.

3 1/2 – 4 cups flour

1 cup of Vitamin D Milk

1/4 cup oil

butter

baking pan

rolling pin

Large mixing bowl

Ok, let’s get started!

In a large mixing bowl, you will need to mix together the flour, milk & oil until a thick consistency.

Then you are going to want to lay out some of that extra flour I told you that you’d need onto the counter and spread that right out into a nice soft layer to cover your surface area.

Once your counter is set up, go ahead and place your dough on top of the layer of flour. Fold & kneed while continuing to add additional flour so that the dough is able to be rolled out.

Roll out the dough and cut out circle shapes with a kitchen water glass or the lid from your mason jar for a perfect biscuit shape.

Now don’t forget to grease your pan down!

It’s time to take those biscuits rounds and place them on your baking pan.

Bring your oven to 350 degrees and bake for 25ish minutes.

Take out of the oven just to butter the top of each biscuit & pop back in for 3-4 minutes.

Thats it! Now gather those close to your heart & in your home to share this tradition. Serve HOT.

Thank ya’ll for joining me in the kitchen & allowing me share my tradition & recipe with you & your family this year.

Make sure to download my recipe card on these biscuits below so you can easily reference it on your mobile device or print it out to keep in your kitchen.

I’d love to see your comments too, so don’t be shy and let me know how your biscuits came out!
