But being a full time Realtor, Wife to Mike & “Boy Mom” to my two young & lively Sons, I also find myself in abundance of holiday CHAOS, sprinkled with cheer and yet flooded with blessings…
I’ve decided to share with you a very special Family tradition that I’ve started of my own that gets everyone in my Home in the spirit of The Holidays with little pressure, lots of fun and lasting memories. My Christmas Santa Cookie Recipe.
Let’s Start out with the list of ingredients. It’s really simple on purpose, because it’s about the memories we are making & the positive experience for myself & the boys.
1 Box of White Cake mix
2 Larges Eggs (you will only be using the whites)
2 tablespoons (or tiny fist-fulls) of flour
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla extract (optional)
1 bag of chocolate chips & lots of sprinkles
It’s so easy from here!
You are going to combine the cake mix, flour, oil & extract into a large mixing bowl until completely blended, then fold in the chocolate chips & sprinkles at the end.
Once you have dough that looks like Christmas confetti, simply roll into 1-2 inch balls & place on a cookie sheet. Then of course I let my guys go at the sprinkles one last time by pressing a few more on top of the dough balls.
It’s always a good idea to chill the cookies on a tray for 10-20 minutes prior to baking, and at this time you can also preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Bake for 8-10 minutes & pull when they are still a little soft, because they will finish baking on the hot tray to perfection once out.
Share with friends, enjoy with family and don’t forget to leave some out for the Big Guy on Christmas Eve 😉
